Revit Project part 1

This project deals with the program called Revit. Here, I am planning out my project with pictures of the soon to be project. Its actually a series of steps called "Getting Started." If you follow all the steps, then you will get a beautfuil house! Will be posting more info as the project progresses!

Revit is a architect program used to render houses! Before, I worked with a program called Autodesk Inventor. But Revit is so much better! I feel as if I was creating a new life! This programs at first seemed scary and hard to learn, but I picked it up quickly!

Civil Engineering vs Architecture part1

This was one of my first assginments. I was assigned to make a powerpoint comparing both fields. Although the powerpoint looks simple, I learned a whole lot, but this is what i learned:
Civil Engineers: work more with   math and figures. They care more about if the actual project works!
Architects: They are more involved with how the project looks and if its appealing to the eye!

I personally like architects better because they can creative and have more freedom!

Civil Engineering vs. Architecture

1/21/11
This actually is my second project of comparing both branches. Will be posting more info about this project in the first version.

Concept Maps Civil Engineering vs Architecture

Concept Maps: done 10/6/10  uploaded: 1/21/11
This was one of my first major projects. Also, I documented in my engineer's notebook about how I created this concept map. But first, let me explain what a concept map is.
A concept map is a map that show relationships between elements. So, let's say that in one bubble is the word animal. Then, some lines will branch out to other things that show relationships. So:
animals-----can be------dogs, cats, cows..etc.
In this case, we are trying to form relationships between architecture and civil engineering. As you can see, this map is very deatiled, ranging from how lawers help protect a project to the programs used to render the building.
Concept maps help out in many ways!
